This is a very simply piece.  My godmother often told me that your home should be your sanctuary, so I've always lived by this rule.  People don't come in and destroy my home and they don't bring nasty unwanted energies and/or spirits with them when they do.  I only allow people into my home if I know them thoroughly; and even after that I take precautionary steps.

Infused into this piece is a creature called the Aitvaras.  It is a household spirit in the Lithuanian realm of mythology and it is an evil-eater.  
When you place this piece somewhere in your home, the Aitvaras will come out of the piece in its spirit form and eat all of the evil and/or unlucky presences that are in your house, whether they are spirits or energies.  From this point on, it will guard your house, keeping any undesired presences away for good.  Should you managed to find a friend who’s bringing crap into your house, the Aitvaras will rid them of their evil as well and provide your house with a cleansing.
