This is fully framed and it’s an antique. This was bought by a lady in the 1950’s but is much older than that! I believe she had it framed. She passed on I’m guessing about 1 to 5 years ago. The house is in my neighborhood which has a lot of eclectic people. We have well known celebrities that live there to just be able to get away as it’s out in the middle of nowhere and a pre-civil war town. This piece made her wealthy beyond her expectations. The thread woven into the dragon is what is magic. You only need to light one candle to activate the wealth part of these Dragon. The Dragon holds the name Huanglong. This is TRUE WEALTH WHERE YOU NEED FOR NOTHING!
In the ancient land of Xin, nestled between the towering peaks of the Jade Mountains and the vast, whispering forests of the Whispering Pines, there existed a legend known as the "Threads of the Golden Dragon." This tale was passed down through generations, whispered in the courts of emperors and sung by the wandering minstrels under the starlit skies.
Long ago, when the world was still young and magic flowed as freely as the rivers, there was a dragon named Huanglong, whose scales shimmered like molten gold under the sun. Huanglong was not just any dragon; he was the guardian of wealth and prosperity, his very breath capable of turning the simplest of stones into treasures beyond measure.
One day, Huanglong, in his celestial wanderings, noticed the plight of the people of Xin. They were industrious but poor, their lands rich in culture but lacking in material wealth. Moved by their spirit, Huanglong decided to bestow upon them a gift that would change their fate.
He descended upon the highest peak of the Jade Mountains, where the air was thin and the stars seemed close enough to touch. There, he shed a single scale, which, upon touching the earth, transformed into a loom of pure gold. But this was no ordinary loom; it was enchanted to weave threads spun from Huanglong's own golden mane, each thread imbued with the dragon's essence of prosperity.
The loom was discovered by a young weaver named Li Mei, who, guided by dreams sent by Huanglong himself, climbed the mountain and found the golden artifact. Li Mei, with her skilled hands, began to weave. The threads she pulled from the loom were not just golden; they glowed with an inner light, and as she wove, the fabric sang with the ancient songs of dragons.
These golden threads could not be cut by any blade known to man, and garments made from them brought not only warmth but also an aura of success and fortune to their wearers. The cloth was light as air yet stronger than steel, and it never faded or wore out.
Word of Li Mei's miraculous loom spread, and soon, merchants, nobles, and even distant emperors sought her fabrics. The wealth of Xin grew, its people no longer toiling in poverty but thriving in prosperity. However, Huanglong had one condition: the threads must never be used for greed or war, but only to uplift and bring joy.
As centuries passed, the loom remained, hidden away, appearing only when the people of Xin faced dire times, reminding them of the dragon's pact. The legend says that on nights when the moon is full and the stars align, one can see Huanglong flying over the Jade Mountains, his scales reflecting the moonlight, a silent guardian of Xin's prosperity.
The Threads of the Golden Dragon became more than just a source of wealth; they were a symbol of hope, resilience, and the magical bond between the mythical and the mortal. And so, the legend lives on, a tale of wealth woven not just in gold, but in the very fabric of the spirit of Xin.
